Among the Flowers Unveils New Website Designed to Prevent Pain Caused by Forgetting Special Events

Welland, Ontario (PRWEB) October 24, 2007 -- Among the Flowers, an award-winning Niagara florist, today unveiled its newly designed website to help forgetful men and women avoid the pain caused by forgetting special events. The new SOS Club is an online service that allows members to choose and pre-pay for any one of hundreds of gift ideas which will be sent to a designated recipient by a certain date. The program also functions as a traditional "reminder service", sending e-mails to remind the forgetful that a special event is coming up.

"We get panicked people in the shop all the time, desparately wanting us to help them choose the right floral arrangement or gift basket at the last minute" said Pat Shedden, Chief Floral Designer and owner of Among the Flowers. Shedden continues: "They always leave happy, but I always thought we could help them avoid that panic in the first place. That was the spark behind the SOS Club idea - prevent panic and make people happy."

"SOS" stands for Special Occasion Sending. Members of the Club can sign up to be reminded about any number of special events for all the special people in their lives. To make gift giving even more convenient, Club Members can also select and pre-order floral arrangements, gift baskets and other gift items to be delivered prior to the event. A husband might have flowers delivered to his workplace so he can look like a hero when he comes home. An out-of-town son can schedule flowers to be sent to his mother automatically on Mother's Day so he doesn't have to think about it more than once. Professionals can have gifts sent to their clients on important anniversary dates. All of this can be set up so that the gift giver enters the information once and the SOS Club takes care of the rest.
